TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms help us keep bookings straightforward and every lesson or session safe. By booking with Roadcraft Training, you agree to the following conditions.

Driving Licence and Eyesight

Please have your valid driving licence to hand at your first lesson or session.
An eyesight check will be carried out at the start of your first lesson or session. Please wear any glasses or contact lenses required for driving.
You are responsible for ensuring that your licence remains valid and that you are legally entitled to drive.

Help Us to Keep You Safe

Please tell us about any medical condition, disability, medication or change in health that could affect your driving. This information allows us to plan your training safely and provide the right support.

You are responsible for informing the DVLA of any relevant medical condition where required.

Payments

Payment can be made:

By bank transfer
Through our dedicated app

Payment should be made at least 48 hours in advance or by the agreed time, unless alternative arrangements have been made with your instructor. First lesson or session payments are required upon booking and are non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

Cancellations, Changes and Refunds

At least 48 hours’ notice is required if you need to cancel or rearrange a lesson or session.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
Missed lessons or sessions will also be charged in full.
Where at least 48 hours’ notice is provided, any payment made for the cancelled lesson or session will be credited towards your next lesson or session or, if rquested,refunded in full.
If you have purchased a block booking at a discounted rate and request a refund for the unused hours, any lessons or sessions already taken will be recalculated at the standard, non-discounted rate applicable when the block was purchased. The cost of those completed lessons or sessions will be deducted from the total amount paid and the remaining balance refunded.
Continued or repeated cancellations may result in Roadcraft Training being unable to offer you further lessons or sessions.
If Roadcraft Training needs to cancel, your lesson or session will be rearranged at no additional charge.

Punctuality

Please be ready at the agreed time. If you are late, your lesson or session may still need to finish at the original time and the full fee will remain payable.

If you are not available at the agreed meeting point, your instructor will attempt to contact you after 15 minutes. If there is no answer, the lesson or session will be terminated and charged in full.

Fitness and Safety

You must be fit to drive and not under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or any medication that could impair your ability to drive safely.

We reserve the right to terminate any lesson or session if we deem the lesson or session has become unsafe in any way. This may include unsafe behaviour, failure to follow reasonable safety instructions or concerns about your fitness to drive. Where this results from your condition or conduct, the full fee will remain payable.

We may also postpone or cancel a lesson or session if weather, road conditions or a vehicle issue make it unsafe to continue. In these circumstances, the lesson or session will be rearranged without charge.

Test Readiness

You will be considered ready for your practical driving test once you can demonstrate that you are able to drive safely, independently and consistently across a range of road and traffic conditions, with little or no intervention from your instructor.

Test readiness will be based on your instructor’s ongoing assessment of your driving, rather than solely on whether a test has been booked. Your instructor will discuss your progress with you and advise when you have reached the required standard.
